Hello! I hope summer was well for everyone and I'm so happy you're interested in JCAA!
A little information about JCAA...
Were a group that strives to promote Japanese culture as well as share our interest with anime together! A member does not have to be an active anime watcher to join. Anyone with an interest in Japanese culture or arts is welcome to stop by at any of our meetings. there is no cut off date for membership we accept new members throughout the year!
Our meetings consist of topics related to learning about the basics in Japanese culture as well as anime related topics (I.e. anime trivia, games, etc) Each meeting will be dedicated to a certain subject (anime or culture) this will be announced on all contact accounts as well as the school announcements.
Our first meeting (as planned) will be on Wednesday September 5th. We will do an introduction and two games. (Candy and other snacks will be served) one game is a gift game and will be explained on the first meeting. It serves to provide the first glimpse of fun we have in our meetings! the second game is anime trivia game. We do not expect people to know all the answers therefore it will be split into two teams. This game serves as a get to know each other game. You will learn others favorite anime and other interesting anime related facts. Again it is not required that you know anything about anime, and you are not required to actively participate. Winner or Loser it doesn't matter. this is not to test anime knowledge it is to understand fellow members.
On the 3rd meeting of the 2018-2019 school year we will have officer elections therefore if you are interested in an officer position it is preferred that you show up to the 2nd and 3rd meetings. If you're unable to show at these meetings contact us at GuyerJCAA@gmail.com and we can make proper arrangements
